I witnessed a lovely encounter between a squirrel and a Black Kite in October last year. Didn’t get down to writing this for a while. This tiny fellow wanted to crossover but was unsure if he’d become a meal for the Black Kite. Their face-off lasted a few minutes. The majestic Kite seemed very undecided as to what to do. Until he just decided to turn around and make way for the little fellow to pass through. What an incredible little encounter. I was almost certain that the Kite will either chase the squirrel away or just make a meal out of it. Wish I had taken more shots of this but, this is what I have of this story.
