For the folks who don’t know that I have (almost) a second home in Wayanad, let me present to you Tranquil Resorts. We’ve been here 15 times so far. Fun fact – during the first 14 visits, I didn’t look at even one bird. On the 15th, spotted over 25 of them, including 13 lifers for me in just two days. Tranquil resorts is spread across 400 acres and they have documented about 130 species so far. A hotspot for birders for sure. Thanks (or no thanks) to the tall trees in this lush green estate, its a fantastic spot for bird watching, not so great for bird photography. With that limitation, here’s what I managed to capture in the last two days.
